Muntjac was based upon the idea of hip hop's durty south accent having some similarities to the Suffolk accent. He was also meant to act as guardian and protector of the accent which is losing out due to the spreading of the estuary accent. He say he remembers when he went to school 'the harder you were the stronger the accent'.
